 Recently, three major projects of Gautam Adani have come under scrutiny due to allegations of fraud involving the Hindenburg airship.  There are also concerns about the takeover of MIAL by the Adani Group, which owns the Mumbai International Airport, and the group's offer to take over GVK Airport Company's debt of five billion rupees.

 In February 2023, the Congress party asked Prime Minister Narendra Modi about Vinod Adani's offshore shell firms.  They wanted to know whether the government would investigate the money laundering claims.
